2023 BOAT SHOW UPDATES, NEW SPONSORS & MORE!

Things are cranking up for the 7th Connecticut Spring Boat Show, taking place April 28-30, 2023 at Safe Harbor Essex Island in Essex, CT. A number of new features have been added.

First, boat inventory is back! Organizers are anticipating double the number of boats from last year. In addition to boats on the docks, great bands including Wooly Mammoth, Lewis & Merritt, Soundwaves, The Vitas, and The Fake Experience will be on tap. Also on tap, Surfridge Brewing East will be introducing their craft beers to visitors. The show will of course also have yacht brokers, gear, artists, accessories, and service companies exhibiting on the lawn. Fishing seminars sponsored by Maritime Insurance International and presented by Captain Michael Roy, Matt Stone and Captain Brian Moskey will cover the waters from the Connecticut River to Long island Sound and beyond.

This in-water boat show is the first of the season, and Safe Harbor Essex Island, a very quick ferry ride from historic downtown Essex, is a uniquely beautiful location. This year’s boat show seeks to raise $30,000 for Sails Up 4 Cancer (SU4C.org), a non-profit organization supporting cancer care, education, prevention and research, an increase up from $23,000 raised at the 2022 show.

Sails Up 4 Cancer will benefit from 50% of ticket sales proceeds and will be onsite with additional fundraising opportunities throughout the weekend. We are thrilled to welcome back and add new sponsors including Hoffman Audi of New London, Avelo Airlines, Experience Essex, Essex Boat Works, The Essex Steam Train & Riverboat’s Connecticut River Tours, Gowrie Group, Maritime Insurance International and The Griswold Inn.

Tickets are $20 per adult and are free for children 13 and under. Tickets grant access to the show all weekend. Tickets can be purchased at ctspringboatshow.com, where participating exhibitors and boats will be updated on a regular basis. Contact Ben Cesare at ben@ctspringboatshow.com for broker and exhibitor application information.
