​​TWO SHORELINE BOAT SHOWS COMBINE TO HOST ONE CONNECTICUT SPRING BOAT SHOW – AT BREWER ESSEX ISLAND MARINA – MAY 13-15, 2016

Essex, CT (April 5, 2016) – The Connecticut Spring Boat Show sponsored by the Yacht Brokers Association of America, has announced 2016 in-water show dates of May 13-15, 2016 at Brewer Essex Island Marina located in Essex, CT. WindCheck Magazine is spearheading the merger of the two previous shows, Essex Spring Boat Show and SailQuest Mystic, in an effort for members of the Connecticut boating industry to combine and share resources to get people excited about boating.

Visitors attending the free show will enjoy seeing a wide range of new and brokerage, power and sail models from American Tug, Azimut, Bavaria, Beneteau, Bennington, Blue Seas, Boston Whaler, Catalina, Chris Craft, Cutwater, Eastbay, Elan, Grand Banks, Hallberg-Rassy, Hanse, Hunt, Hunter, Impression, Island Packet, Jeanneau, Jupiter, Lagoon, Legacy, Limestone, Mag Bay, Marine Trader, MJM, Nordic Tug, Rosborough, Sargo, Sealine, Sea Ray, Southport, Tiara, Viking and more.

Brewer Yacht Sales, Eastland Yachts, Essex Marine Group, Essex Yacht Sales and Latitude Yacht Sales will showcase select brokerage boats.

In addition to boats on the docks, gear, accessories and service companies will be on site. The one weekend only show will also have food and beverage items on sale to benefit Sails Up 4 Cancer, a non-profit organization based in Connecticut.

Essex, CT - Two previous spring boat shows, Essex Spring Boat Show and SailQuest Mystic, are partnering May 13-15, 2016 to host a Connecticut Spring Boat Show. The show will be held at the new Brewer Essex Island Marina in downtown Essex, CT.

“We are excited to combine these two great shows – showcasing Connecticut’s boating industry is a great kick off to the boating season,” states Tom Pilkington, Prestige Yacht Sales. 

“Expanding the Show to the centrally located Brewers Essex Island Marina will enable the Show to meet the demand of the CT boat dealers that wanted to be part of the Show in the past that we were unable to accommodate,” Pilkington continued. This is a great opportunity to give clients an opportunity to view both power and sail of all sizes without the crowds and hassles of the big fall shows."

​​Over 70 Boats and Yachts to Navigate into Essex for the CT Spring Boat Show

Essex, CT (April 28, 2016) – The Connecticut Spring Boat Show sponsored by the Yacht Brokers Association of America, is expecting over 70 boats varying in size from 20-75ft to journey from as far away as

Maine to the first annual 2016 Spring boat show.  The exhibition is set for May 13-15, 2016 at Brewer Essex Island Marina located in Essex, CT and is attracting interested boat buyers from Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island and beyond. 

“Brewer Essex Island Marina could possibly be the most intimate place in CT to have a boat show”, says Tom Pilkington of Prestige Yacht Sales.   “Where else can show goers look at their favorite boats in the water, visit land exhibits, and explore the town of Essex which is filled with its own maritime heritage? With boats ranging in size from 20ft to 75ft, sail, power, new, & used, there will be a boat for every taste and budget.”

Visitors attending the free show will enjoy seeing a wide range of new and brokerage, power and sail models.  Boating gear, accessories and service companies will also be on site. Sails Up 4 Cancer, a non-profit organization based in Connecticut will be on site raising money through food and beverage sales to benefit their organization.  SU4C has been dedicated to supporting cancer care, education, prevention and research along the Shoreline of Connecticut.   

Also featured the same weekend in the historical town of Essex will be the annual ‘Burning of the Ships’ parade.  This nautical themed event commemorates the worst day in Essex’s history with the famous ‘Loser’s Day Parade’. Sailing Masters will be joined by other regional fife and drums corps for the parade. The parade and boat show offer individuals and families an opportunity to experience local sailing history and the flipside of today’s latest and greatest technology in the boating industry.
